Mstaib.co is a one-man design studio born in 2014 out of Eugene, OR. My background is in digital arts with an emphasis on design for print. Let’s chat - What are you looking for exactly? What are you trying to achieve? Do you have any examples? Tell me what you want out of me, and I’ll tell you what I can give. Let’s find common ground, realistic expectations, and a schedule that we’re comfortable with. We can talk numbers, but as with any work like this - nothing is set in stone until it’s written and signed.

●● PROPOSAL

I’ll do my best to capture the full scope of the project with a cost and time breakdown. It’s natural to see a few rounds of back and forth here - I want us both to be happy with the estimate. Often times the hurdle that’s hardest to clear is expectations. My response: good, cheap, or fast - pick two. 

●●● Payment & Specifics

Once an agreement has been signed and down payment has been deposited, it’s time to get into the nitty gritty. All logistics & specifics regarding deliverables will be clearly laid out for both you and I so there’s no confusion about what you’ll be receiving. Any relative assets, images, colors, fonts, and branding will be required at this point.

●●●● Design / Implement

I’ll come back to you on our agreed upon timeline with the first round of deliverables. A number of revision rounds come next as we carve and polish exactly what you’re looking for. Once you’re happy, content is shared via the appropriate route and implemented live to whatever channel you need. Final payment will be invoiced when both parties are content.

The rates & terms in any estimate are valid for 30 days. After that time, the project will be reevaluated to determine if the initial proposal still stands, or if a new estimate will need to be drawn up. A 50% deposit of the estimated fee is required before any work will begin. Cancellations can be made at any time, with the non-refundable deposit serving as the kill fee. Payments are net 30 days. A late fee of 2% of the balance owed will be charged if payment is not received within 30 days. Please inquire about current payment acceptance options.

My name is Matthew Toshio Staib, friends call me Matt - I grew up on the north shore of Oahu. Half Japanese, half Swiss and proud of it. Anything on wheels, good design, & food are the way to my heart.

Some of my idols: Anthony Bourdain, Paul Rand, Lewis Hamilton.

I bring ideas to life in whatever form my clients need. If it's something I haven't done before, I'll learn how. If I have, let's make it better. My mission here is good design with function - every creative decision should be intentional and have purpose. My goal is to provide you with something better than what you first set out to find.

How do you work?*

I aim for clarity, respect and collaboration with clients. We both want the same thing, a good working relationship and an even better end product, so devising a way for us to reach our goal effectively is paramount to me. I am transparent in my processes, and I am happy to explain what I am doing and why. If you hit a bump, let me know and I will do the same. If you are new to working with a designer I can help walk you through the process.

I chose this line of work because it's something I care about. Growing up, I learned pretty early on that I was a visual learner - eventually I thought, 'why not contribute to the aesthetic world around me?'

I'll do everything in my power to provide you with the best possible content not only because it's what you deserve and are paying for, but because I wouldn't want anything less leaving my hands.
